Two sessions in September and October · Leederville · free for occupational therapists
Smart home assistive technology, and how to get it funded under both schemes
A free hour for occupational therapists. Operate every device yourself, walk through our SDA display apartment, then work through how each one is funded under the NDIS and under the aged care AT-HM scheme. Five seats, 1.0 CPD contact hour in the room and a second once you return the materials and assessment we send after.

Why we run this session
Smart home technology is classified differently depending on which scheme is paying. A video intercom can be funded as a home modification under the NDIS, while intercoms and entry phones are on the exclusions list for the aged care AT-HM scheme. When a request is returned, the decision rarely tells you which part caused the problem.
See the technology in action and earn 1.0 CPD contact hour
Every smart home system Innogreen offers, in one room at the Leederville office. Nothing sits behind glass and nothing is a slide deck: you look at it, touch it and play with it yourself.
Intro
5 minWho is in the room, and what you want to walk out with.
Technology demonstration
15 minVoice control, automatic door openers, smart locks, video doorbells, automated blinds, smart lighting, environmental and climate control, assisted hearing alerts, radar presence and fall sensing, hub displays and wearables. You operate all of it yourself.
SDA apartment walkthrough
15 minOur latest SDA display apartment, with the full smart home fit-out installed and running in it. Hands on throughout: open the doors, work the lights and the blinds, and try the controls the way a resident would use them every day.
Funding presentation
15 minNDIS low, mid and high cost AT, home modifications, environmental control, and what an SDA dwelling already includes. Then the AT-HM list under Support at Home, where the same devices sort by ISO category into low risk, under advice and prescribed, and where several are not on the list at all.
Case study
10 minTalk through a real client and leave with two or three lines of functional wording you can put into the report.
What we send you within 48 hours
Course materials setting out the funding pathways in full, so the detail that will not fit inside an hour is yours to read at your own pace.
A short assessment covering the session and the materials. Working through both is the second hour, and returning the assessment is what releases your certificate.
Funding pathway sheet mapping every device on the bench across NDIS pathways and AT-HM list categories, with the access levels and the exclusions marked.
CPD reflection template, pre-filled with the session title, date, hours and outcomes. You write the reflection and nothing else.
Your certificate follows once your assessment is in. It states 1.0 contact hour for the session and 1.0 hour for the materials and assessment, 2.0 in total, with the four learning outcomes on the face of it.
