Every metro council, best paying first
Everything below is our reading of each council’s published information and it can be out of date. Rebate rounds also close without notice when the funding runs out. Call your council to confirm a figure before you rely on it, and never install before a pre-approval council has answered you in writing.

Five councils void the rebate if you install first
These councils have to approve your application in writing before any work starts. Book the install before that approval lands and the money is gone.

WA Safety and Security Rebate
Up to $400 per household, claimable once for as long as the scheme runs, and a partner in the same household cannot claim a second one. Home alarm and CCTV systems are one category capped at $400, and installation counts toward it.
WA Seniors Card holders only. The property must be their principal place of residence in WA. Rental properties count, including public housing.
It is separate money from the council rebate, and its own terms say so: clause 13 reads “Applicants are able to apply for a rebate under this Safety and Security Rebate Scheme as well as similar rebates through their local council.” So you can normally claim both on the one job.
Three councils are the exception. City of South Perth, Town of Bassendean, City of Cockburn exclude Seniors Card holders from their own scheme and send you here instead, so for those the $400 replaces the council rebate rather than adding to it.
