Motorised roller blinds
Fits: Most standard window sizes, interior fit
Quiet motor concealed in the roller tube. Battery-powered or hard-wired. Fastest install and most popular retrofit option.

Motorised blinds, curtains and roller shutters for NDIS participants — voice, app and schedule control for independence, comfort, and Perth-summer thermal regulation.
Manual blinds assume you can stand, reach up and pull a cord. Motorised blinds and shutters remove all three barriers and add thermal control that manual hardware never gave you.
Cords, wands and manual roller pulls are out of reach from a seated position. Motorised blinds respond to voice, app or schedule instead.
Twisting a wand, pulling a cord or lifting a roller shutter can be painful or impossible. A tap on a phone replaces all three.
Automatic morning open / afternoon close routines regulate light and heat without you lifting a finger — especially valuable in Perth summers.
Gradual, quiet automation reduces the shock of harsh sunlight or sudden noise from manual shutters — sensory-friendly by default.
Alexa, Google Home and Apple HomeKit — say the word, blinds move.
Adjust each blind or a whole scene from your phone, tablet or a single wall remote.
Sun-based schedules that open at sunrise, close in the afternoon heat, and dim for movie time.
Automatic shading when direct sunlight or heat crosses a threshold — hands-off thermal control.
One-tap 'morning', 'movie', 'sleep' scenes that move every blind in the house together.
Depending on your plan and goals, motorised blinds may sit under Assistive Technology or Home Modifications.
We match hardware to your existing windows, your funding pathway, and how the room actually gets used.
Fits: Most standard window sizes, interior fit
Quiet motor concealed in the roller tube. Battery-powered or hard-wired. Fastest install and most popular retrofit option.
Fits: External windows, homes needing sun/heat control
Hard-wired external roller shutters for thermal regulation, cyclone protection and security. Requires an electrician.
Fits: Existing venetian or vertical setups
Motor kits that retrofit onto existing blinds — tilt slats, raise and lower on voice or schedule.
Fits: Curtain track setups, bedrooms, living rooms
Whisper-quiet track motors that open and close standard curtain runs. Ideal for bedrooms and glare-sensitive spaces.

Sun in when you want it, out when you don't.
Most homes do not need new blinds. They need the blinds they already have to move on their own, which is why retrofit motors and hubs lead this list.

Automate Pulse 2 hub with Push motors, the retrofit path that motorises the blinds already hanging in your windows instead of replacing them.
FYRTUR block-out and KADRILJ light-filtering roller blinds in standard widths, battery powered and driven by the TRADFRI gateway.
In-wall shutter relays that bring an existing motorised roller shutter into app, schedule and voice control without new motors.
Echo speakers for opening and closing by voice, and routines that move every blind in the house with one phrase.
Google Assistant and Nest Hub scenes that group blinds with lighting for a single morning or evening routine.
Apple Home for iPhone households, including automations that respond to sunset and to leaving or arriving home.
All product names, logos and brands are the property of their respective owners and are shown to identify the equipment we install. Innogreen is an independent installer, not an authorised reseller or agent for these companies. Ranges change — we recommend hardware against your assessment, not a fixed catalogue.
Motorised blinds are one of the cheapest ways into a smart home, provided the retrofit path, the power source and the manual override are settled up front.
If your blinds are in good condition, a motor and hub usually cost far less than new automated blinds. We quote motorising what you own before we quote replacing it.
Through a Perth summer a shutter cuts heat, noise and break-in risk at once. Automating them means the house is shaded before the afternoon sun arrives, not after it has already heated up.
Blinds are far more useful when they share a routine with lighting. Morning opens the blinds and lifts the lights gently. Evening closes for privacy and warms the room.
Battery motors suit rentals and finished rooms. Solar strips keep them topped up on sunny windows. Hardwired suits new builds and renovations where a cable can still be run.
Schedules drift with the seasons. Sunrise, sunset and temperature triggers keep a west-facing room comfortable without anyone remembering to do anything.
Every install keeps a wall switch or remote that works without the hub. If the internet drops or a phone is lost, the blinds still open.
One 'morning' or 'sleep' command moves every blind, sets the lighting, and unlocks the door — all through the same voice assistant or ECU.
Pair blinds with smart lights so an 'evening' scene lowers the blinds and warms the lights in one command.
Smart lighting hubAmazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit — the same voice routine that controls your doors and lights also runs your blinds.
Smart home overviewMotorised blinds integrate with switch, tablet and eye-gaze ECU platforms so blinds join your existing control set.
Smart home hubCoordinate the blinds and front door — 'good morning' opens both; 'sleep' closes both.
Automatic door openers hubBattery-powered retrofit motors often sit under Assistive Technology; hard-wired external shutters are usually Home Modifications.
Talk with your support coordinator, LAC or occupational therapist about the barriers blinds and shutters currently create for you.
Your OT prepares an Assistive Technology (or Home Modification) assessment identifying the functional need.
Innogreen provides quotes, product documentation and installation scope for the report.
The assessment goes into your NDIS plan review or a variation request; a decision is made by the NDIA.
On approval, we install, program routines, brief your household and hand over training materials.
Funding is never guaranteed. Whether the NDIS funds motorised blinds depends on your individual plan and goals — always confirm with your planner, LAC or support coordinator. See our guide to Capital Supports and Assistive Technology for a plain-language walkthrough.
Motorised blinds and shutters may be funded through your NDIS plan when they address a functional need — for example, difficulty reaching or operating manual blinds — and are backed by evidence from your OT or support coordinator. Battery-powered retrofit motors often sit under Assistive Technology; hard-wired external shutters are usually Home Modifications. Approval depends on your plan, goals and reasonable-and-necessary assessment — please confirm with your planner, LAC or support coordinator.
Often just a motor. For existing roller blinds, venetian blinds and many curtain tracks we can retrofit a motor to the existing hardware. For older or unusual setups, full replacement is sometimes simpler and cheaper — we walk through the trade-off during the assessment.
Battery motors install in minutes, require no electrician and recharge every 6–12 months. Hard-wired motors give whisper-quiet operation, no battery changes and support heavier external shutters — but need an electrician. Most interior blinds run beautifully on battery; external shutters need hard-wired power.
Yes. Every motor we install ships with a physical remote and stored schedules, so blinds continue to open and close even when Wi-Fi or the voice assistant is down. You just lose the ability to change scenes from your phone temporarily.
Modern quiet motors are barely audible — quieter than an oven fan on low. For bedrooms and sensory-sensitive spaces we specify whisper-quiet motors and slow-open modes so the wake-up isn't jarring.
Yes. Automatic sun-based schedules close blinds and shutters before the harshest afternoon sun hits, reducing indoor temperatures by several degrees and lowering air-con load. External roller shutters make the biggest difference for west-facing rooms.
Every motor includes a manual pull or physical remote. Support workers and visitors can operate blinds without any app or voice training.
